Bravo Dance Co. was founded in 2016 in Martensville, SK as a premier dance studio for children to learn, grow, and excel at dance while participating in an atmosphere that is supportive, pressure-free, and purposeful. Founder and Artistic Director, Meagan Barabash, saw the need to bridge the gaps for the bedroom communities North of Saskatoon. Fulfilling and purposeful dance classes, age and skill appropriate lessons that help to develop and challenge students, as well as small-town, personal service is what BDC intended to provided. The team has done this and more, becoming an award winning dance school, winning awards and being recognized for not only their dance teams and choreography, but also their business operations.
Dance should be a place where children are excited to go - where they get to learn, socialize, and feel like a part of a team. This is the goal at Bravo Dance Co.
Not only are dancers taught dance skills and technique, but also lifelong skills and qualities such as teamwork, self-confidence, self-awareness, and work ethic. Dancers are taught by a staff that has incredible experience in all genres of dance from ballet to tap to hip hop and even Ukrainian dance!
Everyone should not only get the chance to experience dance, but should also get to experience dance at the Bravo Dance Co.
Bravo Dance Co. not only has an experienced and knowledgeable staff, but also instructors who support and foster growth and relationships with the dancers. Our staff is fluent in teaching and performing the following genres:
The dance studio is a place where students make friends, have fun, and learn an incredible art form. Bravo Dance Co. welcomes both recreational and competitive dancers as everyone, we believe, should have the opportunity to express themselves, learn, make friends, and experience the world of dance!
The Bravo Dance Co.'s mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and purposeful environment for all dancers to achieve their goals, make friends, and gain the qualities to excel in all areas of their lives.
TEAM OF EDUCATORS

MISS MEAGAN BARABASH
With two decades of experience behind her, Miss Meagan has enjoyed a constantly evolving dance career. Her desire to share her love of dance with others came naturally at a young age as she began as a teaching assistant at her dance studio. Meagan has been granted the opportunity to continue teaching in Saskatoon and area throughout the years, sharing dance with students ages two through 18 in various genres, and becoming an award-winning choreographer. Studying syllabi including RAD, CDTA, and ADAPT, Meagan offers great knowledge and expertise to her students. In addition to her dancing and teaching background, Meagan has choreographed for national productions including the Miss Teenage Canada pageant.
As Saskatchewan’s Top Entrepreneur 2017, WESK’s Emerging Entrepreneur 2018, and finalist for WMBEXA New Business of the Year, SABEX Entrepreneur of the Year, and ABEX Young Entrepreneur awards Miss Meagan is also incredibly passionate about becoming a leader in her community.
She is excited to begin a new season in a studio that cares so much about the student’s individual needs and not only as dancers. She feels deeply about not only sharing her years of knowledge and experience in dance with her students, but also in providing the best environment for students, parents, and community members.
MISS BAILEY DOUCETTE
Miss Bailey began dancing at the age of three at La Danse School of Dance Arts in Saskatoon. Since the age of eight she has competed in various provincial dance competitions and received numerous awards regarding her performances as a competitive dancer. Having trained in the disciplines of Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, and Hip Hop, her passion for Hip Hop was the greatest. She discovered her love for choreographing throughout her years of training, and was given the opportunity to teach dance and perform at her elementary and secondary schools at a young age. An award-winning choreographer, Miss Bailey is now entering her fourth year of teaching in formal dance studios, while she continues to train and perform.
She hopes that her love of dance will allow her students to grow and learn in a positive, fun, and hardworking environment. She looks forward to a great season at Bravo Dance Co.!
MS CAROLYNN CHOW
Born and raised in Alberta, Carolynn joined her older siblings at the Edmonton School of Ballet before the age of 2. Ballet was all Carolynn knew for the first several years of her dance experience. Studying and preparing for large ballet productions and formal examinations are some of Carolynn’s earliest and most fond memories. At the age of 10, Carolynn discovered the world of competitive dance and a multitude of other disciplines (jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, hip hop, and even highland dance styles) through her enrolment at Shelley’s Dance Co. At the age of 15, Carolynn decided to leave the formal and competitive dance world to pursue other interests. Nevertheless, dance remained deep in her soul. After a near-decade absence from formal dance training, Carolynn convinced her husband Randy to enrol in social dance classes at Dance with me Studio in Edmonton. Together, they practiced various couples dance styles including formal ballroom, country, latin, and swing. Finding it much more difficult to continue dancing into her adult years (lack of program access, increasing family and professional responsibilities) Carolynn would join every Zumba or step-class she could find. Often recruiting for programs to ensure enrolment was high enough for classes to continue. In 2015 Carolynn and her family relocated to Martensville where they discovered BDC. After spending one year as a ‘dance mom’ Carolynn began substitute and guest instructing intermediate and senior ballet at BDC. As an original member of BDC’s Adult Tap Troupe, Carolynn is elated by the opportunity to share her love for dance as an instructor and dancer.

Cole is extremely excited about sharing his passion for dance with other young students. He looks forward to not only seeing what all the students can accomplish in the studio, but also the personal growth that will take place this season!
